Open Gym Membership
Full-floor access on your schedule: strength, cardio, and conditioning, all in one place.
Open Gym memberships set up by phone or text, no online booking.
What It Is
Train your way, on your schedule.
Open gym membership is floor-only access. You come in, sign in, and train. No booking required, no instructor leading you through a sequence, and no pressure to perform in front of a group. Work the equipment you want at your own pace and leave when you're done.
There is no set time and no commitment to show up at a specific hour if that does not work for you. Free weights, machines, cardio, and everything in between are available during operating hours so you can build a routine that fits your actual daily life.
Not sure where to start? Bwell offers a free Personal Training Consultation: a no-cost session where a certified trainer assesses your current fitness, listens to your goals, and maps out a direction. From there, you decide whether to train independently on the open floor, add personal training sessions, or do both.

Who It's For
Self-driven trainers who want a real space.
The gym community in Somersworth skews toward working adults and people with unpredictable hours. Shift workers from local manufacturing facilities, healthcare staff from nearby medical centers, teachers, tradespeople: many of them cannot commit to a class every week at a fixed time. Open gym membership was built with that reality in mind.
Not everyone is ready to commit to a monthly plan before they have walked the floor. Bwell offers drop-in access alongside monthly membership so you can try the space first. Drop-in passes work for first-timers, travelers, or members of another facility supplementing their training. Monthly membership makes financial sense the moment you are training more than two or three days per week.

The Space
The floor. The hours. The community.
Open gym members at Bwell have access to a full strength training floor, not a stripped-down cardio room with a couple of dumbbells and a treadmill. The floor includes free weights, cable stations, benches in multiple configurations, and a cardio row with machines for steady-state and interval work. Whether you are building a program around compound barbell movements, hitting isolation work with cables, or conditioning your cardiovascular system after a strength block, the equipment is there.
Cable stations handle everything from lat pulldowns and rows to tricep work and rotational movements. Free weight sections accommodate everyone from someone learning to deadlift for the first time to experienced lifters with powerlifting or athletic conditioning goals. New Hampshire winters make outdoor training difficult for four to five months out of the year. The Bwell floor is climate-controlled and stocked year-round so the season never interrupts your progress.
Bwell is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Early morning access means you can finish training before most workdays begin. Late evening access means you can come in after a full shift, after dinner, after the kids are settled: whenever the window opens for you.
The rules at Bwell are straightforward: re-rack your weights when you are done, wipe down equipment after use, and be aware of others sharing the floor. Staff are present on the floor, not posted at a front desk ignoring members. If you have a question during your session, need a spot, or want guidance on a piece of equipment you have not used before, someone is available to help.
Weekday mornings and early evenings are the busiest windows. Mid-morning and late evening visits tend to be quieter if you prefer more space. Somersworth is a small city: close-knit and community-oriented, and that character shows up in how members interact with the space and with each other. Busy periods still feel manageable, not chaotic.

FAQ
Common questions.
Can I try the gym before buying a membership?
Yes. Drop-in day passes are available with no commitment needed for a first visit. You pay for the session, use the floor, and decide from there whether membership makes sense for your routine.
What do I need to bring to my first open gym session?
A valid ID, workout clothes, and a water bottle. Towels are available on-site, so there is no need to pack one. Staff will check you in and walk you through the floor on your first visit.
Is the open gym area crowded during peak hours?
Weekday mornings and early evenings are the busiest periods. Mid-morning and late evening sessions are generally quieter if you prefer more space and fewer people on the floor.
Does open gym membership include fitness classes?
Open gym is floor-only access. Fitness classes and small group personal training are separate add-ons. You can pair open gym membership with class access or personal training sessions: ask staff about current options.
How do I cancel or pause my open gym membership?
Month-to-month plans can be paused or cancelled with proper notice. Contact staff directly for current terms and any administrative details.
